“Its so hot, I’m freezing!” - a knitwear collection for the Knitology Specilization at AMFI symbolizing people’s desperate attempts to adapt to extreme weather fluctuations in a potential dystopian future influenced by the climate crisis.

With my work I want to ironically draw attention to the hypocrisy of making climate change the individuals responsibility instead of holding big corporations accountable for their harmful ecological impact.

Therefore I designed knitwear pieces that play with a contrast and duality of opaqueness and transparency, layering and open spaces, reflecting the fluctuations of heatwaves and blizzards that we are experiencing today.
"IT'S SO HOT, I'M FREEZING!"

moodboard

I used photoshop to put the outfits in potential scenarios of a dystopian future during the climate crisis and like that provoke thought to take action.
I created posters of the two outfits I knitted to visualize the political and activist background of this collection.
"The Mermaid Set"
- a sensual two-piece set, delicately shaped and elegantly gathered through adjustable drawstrings -
"The Spiderweb Top"
- an experimental, asymmetrical top that artfully harnesses the inherent transparency of knitwear -
